DR. ANDREW PETERSON - Dentist in Penrith
People who are self-conscious about their teeth often hesitate to smile or laugh – and I understand how heavy a burden that is to carry through life. I’m humbled that many of them have trusted me with restoring their confidence.
“I want to enhance a smile to the best it can be,
but it’s important to still keep it looking natural.
Because ultimately, we’re going for the most beautiful you.”
How it all
started
After volunteering at Lifeline as a teen, Dr Andrew knew he wanted a career where he could help others in some capacity.
He explored several different fields, including business, economics and fitness, before a series of fortuitous events led him to study medical science – where he soon discovered aesthetic dentistry.
He’s never looked back.
Going above
and beyond
Dr Andrew understands that some people are nervous about seeing the dentist, due to their prior experience.
But he passionately believes that modern dentistry doesn’t need to be painful or scary.
That’s why he goes out of his way to get to know his patients – and to ensure they feel comfortable at every stage.
He’s also not one for a quick, ‘in-and-out’ fix.
Dr Andrew’s restorative dental work is well known to be precise and patient-focused.
Patients come to Dr Andrew knowing he won’t be satisfied until he has helped them achieve their best smile.
“Cosmetic dentistry, to me, is a beautiful
combination of science, art and engineering.”
A passion for
learning and
a heart for
family
Dr Andrew is passionate about learning and is constantly pursuing further education in his field.
You will often find him travelling the world in search of the best and latest dental technologies and techniques to bring back to the Sydney Smile Doctor community.
When he can be pried away from cosmetic dentistry, Dr Andrew loves spending time with his wife Olivia (also part of the Sydney Smile Doctor team) and their young daughter.
Inspired by the Japanese expression wabi sabi, Dr Andrew has a deep reverence for beauty in nature – and seeks to appreciate the perfection in imperfection.
